Who will be alongside the Dane with the goal of helping him win his first-ever Vuelta?

Less than 10 days remain before the start of the Vuelta a España, and Wielerflits has revealed what is expected to be the team built by Visma Lease a Bike to help Jonas Vingegaard win the Spanish Grand Tour for the first time. The Dane has taken part in this race only twice, and in 2023, after winning the Tour de France, he settled for second place behind his teammate Kuss.

This year, Vingegaard’s goal is clear: to win and get closer to the Triple Crown, which he could achieve as early as the next Giro d’Italia if he decides to participate. Supporting him between Italy and Spain will be: Sepp Kuss, Matteo Jorgenson, Wilco Kelderman, Ben Tulett, Victor Campenaerts, Dylan van Baarle, and Axel Zingle (who might have the chance to contest the few bunch sprints of this Vuelta).

A team clearly built for climbing—as expected given the nature of this Vuelta a España, with little flat terrain—that could also count on a second leader alongside Vingegaard thanks to the presence of two top-class climbers like Kuss and Jorgenson. Visma’s aim might not only be to win but to dominate, in order to redeem a Tour that did not go as they had hoped.
