Bernal could become a luxury domestique, Vingegaard considering leaving Visma and then retiring?
The latest transfer market news between 2026 and 2027
Yesterday’s episode of RadioCorsa was full of rumors and market bombs dropped by Beppe Conti, a veteran RAI journalist and beyond. According to the transfer market and cycling expert, we might still see some major moves for next season and even more sensational ones for 2027.
First and foremost, there’s news about Egan Bernal, who apparently could leave Ineos Grenadiers. The Colombian has reportedly received an offer from Visma | Lease a Bike, which would like him as a domestique for Jonas Vingegaard. The Dane is aiming for the Giro d’Italia to complete the Triple Crown, and Bernal would be the luxury lieutenant escorting him on Italian roads.
Looking ahead to 2027, big changes could also be in store for Visma | Lease a Bike. According to Beppe Conti, Vingegaard is already considering retirement and, if he manages to beat Pogacar in a Grand Tour in 2026, he could then join Uno-X Mobility, his “home” team, where he would like to end his career.
