Most European national road cycling championships took place this past weekend, meaning we’ll start seeing the new national champion jerseys in the coming days. Here’s a recap of all the results from the weekend.

In Italy, the winner was Filippo Conca of Swatt Club (you can read their incredible story here), ahead of Covi and Pesenti. It remains to be seen whether he’ll find a team to wear the jersey among the pros. In Belgium, Tim Wellens (UAE Team Emirates) put on a show with a 40 km solo attack, with Evenepoel and Philipsen finishing behind him. In Denmark, it was a clean sweep for Lidl-Trek with both Pedersens on the podium, but the victory went to Søren Kragh Andersen.

In Spain, Ivan Romeo of Movistar took the win, while in France, Dorian Godon of Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale claimed the title. The British champion’s jersey will be worn by Samuel Watson of Ineos Grenadiers, and the Dutch title went to Danny Van Poppel of Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe, who outsprinted Kooij and Groenewegen last Saturday.

In Slovenia, it was a show by Jakob Omrzel of the Bahrain Victorious Development Team, fresh off his Giro Next Gen victory. In Slovakia, Lukas Kubis crossed the line alongside Mathias Vacek, who became the new Czech national champion. In Switzerland, Mauro Schmid of Jayco-Alula repeated his win ahead of Marc Hirschi, while in Portugal, UAE took revenge with Ivo Oliveira’s victory. In Norway, Uno-X Mobility dominated, with Andrea Leknessund taking the win.

In Kazakhstan, Yevgeniy Fedorov of Astana was victorious; in Austria, it was Tim Wafler of Tirol KTM; and in Germany, Georg Zimmermann claimed the title. In Poland, Rafal Majka returned to winning ways; in Ireland, Rory Townsend took the crown; in Latvia, it was Skujins; in Venezuela, Aular; in Croatia, Gojkovic; in Lithuania, Mikutis; in Sweden, Forssel; in Luxembourg, Kluckers; and in Estonia, Mihkels.
