“I can say that such a perfect buildup…” Pogacar confident ahead of the Tour

The Pogacar–Vingegaard duel is just around the corner and ready to set the Tour de France on fire once again. After the announcement of UAE Team Emirates’ lineup for the Tour, the Slovenian opened up to the team’s social channels, speaking about his buildup to the race.

Here are the words of the world champion, confident he’s completed his best-ever preparation for the Tour de France:

“I can say that I’ve probably never had such a perfect buildup to the Tour de France. I feel in great shape, but in the end, it’s the road that will decide the balance of the race. What’s certain is that the altitude training camp went well, and the preparation was fine-tuned in the best possible way. There’s a really fantastic atmosphere in the team. The Tour is always an unpredictable race, and the competition is fierce — but that’s exactly what makes it so unique. We’re in for a fascinating battle, with the first week already set to be spectacular, with aggressive and very dynamic stages. The final week will be decisive, because there will be plenty of opportunities to attack in the mountains. Personally, I can’t wait to get started — it’s going to be an exciting fight, but I’m ready to give everything I have to arrive in yellow in Paris.”
