Absurd: crash between Pogacar and a Visma car before the stage

Shocking scenes before the queen stage of this Tour de France: Tadej Pogacar rear‑ended a Visma Lease a Bike car while heading to the sign‑on before the start.
For the Slovenian, nothing serious apparently—he said he hit the car with his chin but nothing more.

Here are his words to ITV Sport:

“We were riding behind the car (of Visma Lease a Bike, ed.), maybe a bit too close, then he suddenly wanted to check my brakes! I wasn’t ready because I didn’t see anyone in front, so I didn’t understand why he needed to stop suddenly. So I crashed into the car. But everything’s fine.”

An absurd accident that put Pogacar’s Tour at risk in a moment outside of racing. After Vingegaard’s crash caused by a distracted photographer at the Mont Ventoux finish (here you can find more info on his disqualification and Visma’s comment), this time it was the world champion who risked having to abandon due to a bizarre mishap.
