After the chaos of recent days, Israel-Premier Tech is reportedly ready to change its name starting next year. According to the Belgian newspaper Le Soir, the team has decided to drop the name “Israel” from next season and call itself simply “Premier Tech,” after the Canadian company.

Moreover, after the likely departure of Derek Gee and the difficulties in attracting other riders according to several sources, the team is said to have secured the services of Biniam Girmay starting in 2026. The Eritrean sprinter is expected to leave Intermarché-Wanty, which is heading toward a merger with Lotto that will release all riders under contract for the coming seasons (since Lotto’s license will be used).

Unfortunately for the team, however, Matthew Riccitello, a GC rider in this Vuelta a España, is expected to join Decathlon next season.
