Adidas follows Nike: entering the world of cycling too
Another major sponsor returns to the world of cycling following Nike’s comeback
Following the (still unannounced) collaboration between Nike and Visma | Lease a Bike ahead of the Tour de France, rival brand adidas is also entering the world of cycling, partnering with INEOS Grenadiers just days before the Tour.
The German apparel company, which has previously sponsored legends like Eddy Merckx and the former Team Sky (the precursor to INEOS Grenadiers), will serve as the Official Off-Bike Clothing and Footwear Partner of the team. For the 2025 season, the riders will wear a standard selection of adidas technical apparel, while a full custom INEOS Grenadiers off-bike collection is set to launch in 2026.
John Allert, CEO of the team, stated:
“We are incredibly proud to announce this multi-year partnership with one of the world’s most iconic sports brands. adidas has a long-standing and successful history of supporting cycling both in the UK and globally, and we’re excited about what we can achieve together in the coming years.
adidas’ pursuit of excellence, innovation and performance-focused design will support every member of the team – from riders to mechanics – in doing their job with comfort and style in every environment and climate. This is another major step forward for the team as we build towards future success on the road from 2026 onward.”
Kerryn Foster, GM Specialist Sports at adidas, added:
“We’re thrilled to welcome INEOS Grenadiers into the three-stripe family and are looking forward to building on our rich cycling heritage to support the team’s athletes in their mission to win more Grand Tours.
This announcement is just the beginning – we’re excited to soon give INEOS Grenadiers fans the opportunity to show their support with official teamwear, through the launch of the full off-bike collection for the 2026 season.”
