Just a few days left until the Vuelta a España begins, featuring Vingegaard, Almeida, Ayuso, Tiberi, Ciccone, Pellizzari, Gall, Gee, Bernal, O’Connor, Landa, Pidcock, and many other interesting riders in terms of the general classification. Let’s take a look at the bookmakers’ odds for the overall victory in the Spanish Grand Tour.

The clear number one favorite is the Dane, coming off his second place at the Tour de France, and expected to dominate in Pogacar-like fashion. The bookmakers’ odds are around 1.3, a figure usually reserved for his Slovenian rival. Behind him are Almeida and Ayuso, respectively at about 6/6.5 versus 7/7.5. (The values are ranges since they reflect odds from multiple bookmakers).

The Portuguese rider is therefore considered slightly ahead of the Spaniard, despite his heavy crash at the last Tour. Following them in the battle for the podium are Ciccone, Tiberi, Gee, and O’Connor with odds respectively at: 15/20, 25/30, 33, and 39. Behind them is Bernal, who only needs the Vuelta to complete the Triple Crown, at 41, and Pellizzari at 41/66. According to the bookmakers, Ciccone is the top Italian favorite, despite his own recent statements.

Further back, at around 66, are Gall, Landa, and Hindley. Even further behind are Pidcock (around 80), Kuss (101), and Caruso (201).
