Filippo Ganna

Filippo Ganna has undoubtedly been the leading figure of Italian cycling in recent years, between World Championships (both in the time trial and on the track) and the Olympics. Over the past year, however, he has also shown that he can make his mark in the Monument Classics—not just aiming for a solid placing, but even for victory.

Thus, looking ahead to next season, Ganna was interviewed by Marca and, among the topics discussed—alongside his plans for the season (which will see him race both the Giro and the Tour, as well as Milan–San Remo and Paris–Roubaix)—he also spoke about the dream for his career. Here is the relevant excerpt (which can give great hope to all his fans):

“I hope to continue racing for a few more years. My dream is to make it to the Brisbane Olympics, but to get there, the mind is essential— even more important than strong legs.”
