The season is practically over, but on Sunday, four cycling superstars—especially known for their climbing skills—will face off at the Andorra Cycling Masters. An event that’s neither a race nor a true exhibition, it will feature head-to-head duels between Tadej Pogacar, Jonas Vingegaard, Isaac Del Toro, and Primoz Roglic in two unique challenges.

The first will be an 8.3 km uphill time trial, followed by a 32.1 km criterium on a 2.14 km circuit to be repeated about fifteen times. Only these four riders will compete, in a rare one-on-one format that’s unusual in cycling due to the key role teams usually play.

Unfortunately, the event will only be viewable live in person and will not be broadcast on any TV channel or website. However, footage will be recorded for a documentary expected to air in December, covering both the competitive showdown and glimpses into the personal lives of the four protagonists.

There’s no information yet about potential prize money or appearance fees, but it’s known that Evenepoel was also invited, although he couldn’t accept due to other commitments.
